Plastic Hardware Network News: According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs on January 13th, China exported 10.66 million tons of steel in December 2015, an increase of 1.05 million tons from the previous month; In 2015, China exported a total of 110 million tons of steel, a year-on-year increase of 19.9%. Based on this, China's annual steel exports have exceeded the 100 million ton mark, setting a new historical high.
It should be noted that the growth in China's steel exports is achieved against the backdrop of overcapacity in the domestic steel industry. In recent years, with the increase in export volume, Chinese steel companies have also experienced a rapid increase in anti-dumping and anti subsidy measures overseas.
Analysts say that the increase in export volume is mainly due to China's clear competitive advantage in steel prices and the continued demand for Chinese steel in the international market. On the other hand, the increase in export volume has triggered an unprecedented increase in foreign anti-dumping and anti subsidy measures, which has also had a certain impact on foreign steel companies. It is expected that the resistance to China's steel exports will increase in the later stage. "In the future, exports will still remain at a high level, but it will be difficult to further grow on the current basis

It is reported that the export volume of steel increased by 19.9% year-on-year last year, a significant decrease from the previous year's growth rate of 50.5%. Data shows that in 2014, China exported a total of 93.78 million tons of steel, with a year-on-year increase of 50.5%.
Incomplete statistical data shows that last year, countries or regions such as the European Union, the United States, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, India, etc. launched anti-dumping and anti subsidy investigations against Chinese steel products, or made corresponding rulings on "double anti-dumping" investigations. The products covered hot coils, medium thick plates, rebar, cold-rolled steel, steel pipes, etc.
In November last year, nine steel associations from the United States and Europe issued a joint statement, stating that the global steel industry is facing a crisis of overcapacity, and the Chinese steel industry is the main affected party of this problem. And the statement opposes China's automatic acquisition of market economy status in December 2016. The China Iron and Steel Industry Association has responded to this statement, stating that overcapacity is a common problem faced by the global steel industry in industrial restructuring, and simply attributing the difficulties of the domestic or local steel industry to Chinese companies is "irresponsible".
